Roethlisberger had thrown a second quarter touchdown pass to rookie Emmanuel Sanders to put the Steelers up 20-3 when he began jawing at Seymour from behind. Seymour turned and delivered an open-handed right to Roethlisberger's face-mask, knocking the quarterback to the Heinz Field turf.
Raiders defensive tackle Tommy Kelly had initially been identified as the player ejected, but the officials quickly made the correction to Seymour.
Seymour and Chris Kemoeatu were previously involved in a scuffle, and both appeared to have received a warning about the extracurricular activities. Kemoeatu was flagged for a personal foul after retaliating to Seymour's punch of Roethlisberger.
