So Carto. Sonic Cartographer. Imagine what you would get if you combined the obsessive nature of a mad scientist, the passion for life of a plane crash survivor, the honesty of a child, and the fearlessness of a trained and seasoned warrior.  You would get So Carto.  


So Carto channels his creativity through every aspect of his life.  Synesthetic vision of music transports him to places far from normal existence and deep into the realm of possibility.  An accomplished and revered guitarist, So Carto has been a band leader and musician.  A creative and fearless learner, he has overcome years of "hard living" and transformed his life into what it is today, very successful by most measures.  

Hip hop and rap has a special place in his heart and he strives tirelessly to introduce reform to its dying value for real people.  So Carto loves all things, most of all nature. Relentless study of science, and mathematics help him understand himself and the universe around him.  He believes that the more we understand nature, the more whole we become as people.  


So Carto has started the Dope Science Movement which aims to introduce a subculture of hip hop that allows everyone to increase their passion and interest in learning science and math. A professional Optics and Lighting Designer by day and a creative producer/rapper/singer/guitarist by night, So Carto is often called a true renaissance man. While incredibly passionate about learning and growth, 




So Carto has decided to focus his energy outward and give back to the community via Dope Science.  As a Suma Cum Laude college graduate, So Carto's alleged perfectionist mind set ensures that you will get only unique, thoughtful, interesting, and engaging music.
