At noon on Monday, the New York Jets officially introduceD Tim Tebow as their backup quarterback/spiritual healer. They won't do it ...
They won't do it in the same place where they have every other press conference, though, because it won't have enough room. This is because people most people get really, really excited about Tim Tebow, one way or another. At noon, you'll hear plenty from people who adore Tebow as a person and a player.
For right now, though, we'll hear from a couple of people who aren't so enamored. The first, via Newday's Bob Glauber, is New York Giants CEO and co-owner, John Mara. He was asked if New York was big enough for his Super Bowl champion Giants and TebowMania. His response:
"I don't know, but the David Carr press conference will be tomorrow, too."
A quality burn. Not that it needs explaining, but just to be on the safe side, the joke is that a franchise as proud as the Giants doesn't have press conferences for backup quarterbacks
