Whoa Nelly! Nelly Furtado is back with her brand new single “Big Hoops (Bigger The Better).” The track grabs you with more than a few catchy hooks, and Nelly’s instantly recognizable voice rides nicely over the ever-changing, incredibly radio-friendly Rodney Jerkins beat.

“Big Hoops” is somewhat of a regurgitation of everything currently hot in R&B/pop. But it works. Especially in the case of Furtado, who has come to have a pattern of throwing out the radio smash first, and then following up with a more universal, quality second single. We’ll cross our fingers for that as we mindlessly hit our dougie to “Big Hoops.” “Big Hoops (Bigger The Better)” leads Nelly’s long-awaited new album, The Spirit Indestructible, due June 19.
