Bruce Cohen (Silver Linings Playbook, Milk) is attached to produce, while a screenwriter is currently being sought.

Madonna's last directorial project was 2011 movie WE, about the romance between King Edward VIII and Wallis Simpson.

Meanwhile, the 'Hung Up' singer seemingly teased lyrics from a new song on Instagram today (March 25).

The singer posted a cryptic image and rhyme on her official account under the title 'Rebel Heart'.

The picture was accompanied by the caption: "Day turns into night. I wont give up the fight. Don't want to get to the end of my days..........saying I Wasn't amazed! #revolutionoflove"
