Justin Timberlake, 34, was induction into the Memphis Music Hall of Fame on October 17 with his wife, Jessica Biel, 33, in the audience. JT tried to make a joke about his wife not being from Texas but being “built like she is,” but it wasn’t long before he got emotional and sincere with his thank you to her. Grab the tissues and watch his speech!
“This is the f—ing coolest thing that has ever happened to me,” JT said after an introduction from his BFF Jimmy Fallon. “The Grammys are political. The Emmys are political. Memphis is not political. And don’t get me started on Hollywood,” he joked.
He went on, “I wanna thank all the great artists in this hall. I’m truly honored to merely stand on the shoulders of all these legends I grew up listening to, and I grew up admiring, to say that I stand alongside them now.”
Moving on, Justin changed the subject to his wife. “She’s not from here but she’s built like she is!” he smiled at the crowd. It wasn’t long before he got serious, thanking his “beautiful, loving and incredibly understanding” wife who is also his “rock.” Holding back tears, he said, “Baby, I love you more than I could put into words and more than any song I could ever write.” The crowd went wild and cheered for the adorable couple!
