(AllHipHop News) Jeezy’s 8th studio album Church In These Streets drops today (November 13). The Atlanta-based rapper has been making a media run to promote his new project. One of those stops was with HuffPost Live. That conversation included Jeezy discussing race relations in America.

We have to live and honor that,” said Jeezy. “I just think right now, you have all these people living in this country and they just don’t understand each other. Nothing is bringing them together.”
The “Change The World” performer also addressed the ongoing controversy at the University of Missouri. Both Mizzou’s president and chancellor resigned amid protests over lack of concern for black students facing racism at the institution. Two suspects have also been arrested for making threats against African-Americans on the campus.
“That’s got to be coming out of a place of ignorance, just for lack of information, just for lack of leadership, just for the lack of mentorship,” responded Jeezy to the reports of threats against Mizzou students. “It needs to be more education on why we don’t get along. We’re all the same inside.”
He added, “I’ve never been a racist. I’ve never really met a racist. I don’t understand what racism is about. I got friends from every culture – from Maine to Spain. So I don’t get it.”
