Want to watch Philadelphia’s legendary Mummers Parade but weren’t willing to brave the traffic, cold and crowds to do it?
No problem. You can also watch the parade on television channel PHL17 from the Philadelphia area. From other areas you can catch PHL17′s live stream of the event at phl17.com/live.
The parade, full of colorful costumes, elaborate skits and festive music, has been a City of Brotherly Love tradition, having gone on for more than 300 years (although only officially since 1901).
The parade starts at 9 a.m. at Philadelphia’s City Hall (15th and Market streets) and continues down Broad St. to Washington Ave. The entire parade is a long affair, with the last group scheduled to reach the end of the parade route around 6 p.m.
